He loved to sing, dance, and shoot pool. His attitude and smile could brighten anybody’s day. He was born on May 3, 1989. Cory was preceded in death by his Papa Coy B. Whorley and Grandfather Adrion Jones and Grandmother Claudine Hodges. Cory is survived by his loving mother, Karen Whorley Jones and fiancé, John Oneal; father, Michael R. Jones; daughters, Grace-Anna Christine Jones, Hunter Jade Jones and Layla Laiken Jones; sister, Kayla Jones; Nannie, Linda Whorley; Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special cousin, Heather Whorley Muse; and special buddy Rick Hemmings. The funeral service will be conducted at 2pm on Friday, February 1st, 2019 at Flora Funeral Services in Rocky Mount. The family will receive visitors at 12:30pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Whorley Family Cemetery in Endicott. Family will accept condolences at Karen’s home at 3130 Chestnut Hill Road Rocky Mount, Va after 4pm Thursday and after 5pm Friday.
