Dear ma tante Bernadette,
C’est avec tristesse que j’ai appris le décès de Conrad, le 7 janvier dernier. Votre visite à Québec à l’occasion du décès de notre mère, Simone, a été grandement appréciée. Je veux vous dire que je pense à vous en ces temps difficiles, et que je ferai un voyage spécial à la Basilique Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré afin d’allumer une bougie en la mémoire de Conrad. Mes plus sincères sympathies à vous, ainsi qu’à toute la famille.
It is with sadness that I learned about the passing of Conrad on January 7th. Your visit to Quebec on the occasion of our mother, Simone’s, death was greatly appreciated. I wish to tell you that I think of you in these difficult times and that I will make a special trip to the Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica and light a candle in memory of Conrad. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
