Hoover, 76, of Chillicothe passed away 11:48 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 in Ohio State Wexner Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born December 18, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio to Grover and Clara Efird Hoover. On August 16, 1985, he married the former Kathryn J. Gerty who survives. Also surviving are children, Brandon Dillinger and Tiffany (Shaun) Bastian, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Tyler Bastian, Bayley and Riley Dillinger. He was predeceased by a brother, Phillip Hoover. Christopher retired from the V.A.M.C. where he worked as a Bio-Medical Engineer. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kurt King officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
