Catherine L DeLong January 25, 2019 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Catherine L. “Katie” DeLong, 93, of Chillicothe died January 25, 2019 following a brief illness. She was born September 17, 1925 to the late John W. and Clara B. Zeigler Cooke. On August 14, 1947, she married Howard F. DeLong Jr. who died on February 8, 2015. Surviving are children Howard F. DeLong III, of Chillicothe and Jeffrey W. (Betsy) DeLong, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Sean L. (Linda) DeLong, of Jonesboro, TN, Andrew W. (Alyssa) DeLong, of Canal Fulton, OH and Allison E. DeLong, of Chillicothe; a great granddaughter, Lauren T. DeLong, of Jonesboro, TN; a sister-in-law, Joanne Cooke, of Chillicothe; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, John (Muriel) Cooke, Mary Cooke, George (Virginia) Cooke, Virginia (Charles) Ray and Eugene Cooke. A Rite of Committal Service will be offered 1 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 in St. Margaret Cemetery with Fr. William P. Hahn, Celebrant. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
