Carol’s Obituary Carol Davis, 69 of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11 o’ clock in the morning on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Lemons Memorial Chapel with David Azam, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Olton, officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. The family will receive friends from 6-8 o’ clock in the evening on Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Carol was born on August 30, 1949 to Cecil and Opal Ledgerwood in Snyder, OK. She graduated from Tulia High School in 1968 and married Warren Lee Davis on February 21, 1970 in Tulia. They were happily married until his passing on November 23, 2011. Carol was a retired waitress who loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed paint, crafts and bowling. Carol was a member of Elks Lodge #1175and was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband: Warren Lee; parents: Cecil and Opal Ledgerwood; one sister: Pat Davis; one brother: Johnny Ledgerwood; one granddaughter: Cecelle Jenkins and Jesse McClenney. Carol is survived by one son: John Flowers of Louisiana; three daughters: Tonya McClenney and husband Jeff of Edmonson, Sherry Jenkins and husband Michael and Laura Davis all of Plainview; one sister: Margie Auten of Tulia; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
