Carol graduated valedictorian of Naper High School in 1954 and then attended Wayne Teacher’s College. On November 3, 1956, Carol was united in marriage to Harry Neil Helenbolt in Herrick, SD. They began their married life farming near Naper, with Carol teaching at a country school. They welcomed 7 children into their family. In 1966, Neil and Carol moved to Stuart to begin new careers in insurance and income tax preparation. Together they guided their many customers through the complexities of tax law over the course of 40 years. After retirement, Carol enjoyed trips to casinos with family and friends. She passed into God’s hands on January 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Carol is survived by husband Neil, daughters Sherry(Gary)Hytrek of Long Beach, CA, Lori Schaaf of Long Beach, CA, Kerry Ogden of Kingsley, IA, Monie(Bob)Paro of Omaha, NE, & Julie Helenbolt of Lincoln, NE; son John(Jennifer)of Tucson, AZ; sister Elaine(John)Noonen of Ankeny, IA; brother John(Melinda)Peterson of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Terry & Joni Ogden, Dustin & Daniel Schaaf, Alex & Jenna Hytrek, Jacob & Jered Murphy, Jasmine Helenbolt, Tina Cruickshank,& Travis Wilson; great-granddaughters Bailey Ogden & Kennedy Cruickshank. Carol was preceded in death by son Jody, sister & brother-in-law Patricia and Cary Schlotman, and sister-in-law Joy, and her husband Julius(Fritz)Vogt.
