Rock Hill, SC Mr. Calvin Alexander Steele, 86, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Piedmont Medical Center. All services will be private. Mr. Steele was born September 22, 1932 in Chester County, SC and was a son of the late Charles Alexander Steele and Cecil Margurite Broom Steele. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School where he played football and baseball, Spartanburg Jr. College and the University of South Carolina. Mr. Steele was retired as owner and operator of Cal’s Lawn and Landscaping. He was a member of Saxon Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC. Cal enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Helen Justice Steele; two children, Charles Phillip Steele of York and Margee Blanton (Nathan) of Rock Hill; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one niece, Virginia Harley (David) of Irmo; and one nephew, Alex Steele (Tonya) of Lancaster.
