Byron E. Dobbs, age 92, of Louisville, OH passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born September 1, 1926 in Glen Easton, West Virginia to the late George and Dessie (Blake) Dobbs. Byron was a WWII Army Veteran and he was retired from J & L Steel in Louisville. He loved the outdoors and was a member of the Mingo Sportsman Club. Byron is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris (Raines) Dobbs, his daughter, Lisa Dobbs-Whitaker, son, Douglas Dobbs, four sisters, a brother and five grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Leah Michelle Dobbs, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be 7pm Thursday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Calling hours will be 5-7pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude PL Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
