She shared her beautiful voice and writing and had an enviable makeup talent. When blessed to know her, you received her unfaltering friendship. Simultaneously the strongest person in your life and the most empathetic, the person you have the most fun with and the person to make you think clearer when needed. Her hilarious, fearless, warm and resilient personality will be missed. Even those who just met her could tell she was meant to achieve great things in life. “People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within,” E.Kubler-Ross. In death she found a way to light up the world once again for so many others. On Monday, January 14th, Brittany saved four lives and enhanced many others through organ and tissue donation after losing her longtime battle. She made a small, yet immensely impactful decision earlier in life and she will continue to light up the world because of it. Brittany is survived by her Mom Allison Rice, her loving Nannie Joan Rice, her eternal love Scott Frances, James and “J-mac” Mitchell, her father Charles Kearns, grandmother Elvira, stepmother Kim and family. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday January 22nd from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home, 812 Arnold Ave Point Pleasant Beach.
