Billy’s Obituary Funeral Services for Billy Fred Bateman, age 76 of McKinney, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Henry Shelton. Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery in Bonham, TX. Billy passed away on January 7, 2019. He was born November 6, 1942 in Italy, Texas to Homer Cullen Bateman & Bertha Almeda “Meda” Washington. Billy was a 1961 Graduate of South Oak Cliff High School. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. And enjoyed fishing and hunting, old cars and western movies. Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Sandra June Bateman on October 30, 1999; parents, Homer Cullen Bateman & Meda Bateman. Surviving are his two daughters, Beverly McBride and husband John of Frisco and Billie Spence and husband Robert of Chattanooga, TN; three grandchildren, Eric Pennington, Chelsea Tucker Downing, and Christopher Tucker; brother, James Bateman and wife Linda of Lewisville. Pallbearers will be Robbie Spence, Jack Spence, Chris Tucker, Eric Pennington, John McBride, Tyler Downing. The family will receive friends at 12-2 PM Tuesday, 2 hours before the service on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church. Read More
