Betty Ramey January 29, 2019 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook Betty Ramey, 91, of Chillicothe, died 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born January 9, 1928, in Paintsville, KY, to the late Lee and Hana Montgomery Tackett. On December 27, 1946, she married Ermal Ramey who died November 11, 2008. Surviving are children, Tom (Francine) Ramey, Tim (Katherine) Ramey and Laureen K. (Michael) Poe, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Carissa Badgley, of Columbus, Brandon Badgley, of Chillicothe, Travis Pritchard, of Jacksonville, FL, Jesse Ramey, Benjamin Ramey, and Nathan Poe, all of Chillicothe; many great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Earl (Elaine) Tackett and Lawrence (Linda) Tackett, both of Waverly; a sister, Fannie Mankin, of Chillicothe; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Gary Lee Ramey; daughters, Brenda Lou Badgley and Leta Faye Pritchard; brothers, Ernest Tackett, William “Red” Tackett, Arnold Lee Tackett and Dockie Tackett; sisters, Gladys Fyffe and Candy Mae McFadden. Betty was a member of the Sandy Road Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Arlie Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Caldwell Cemetery.
