Betty’s Obituary Betty Jean Watson was born June 18, 1945, to Garfield Sr. and Fannie Tyler, in Lambert, MS. As a child, her family relocated to Kansas City, Kansas, where she accepted Christ at an early age. In 1963, Betty relocated to California, where she met and married Cornell Watson Sr., and with this union, she gave birth to three children: Cornell Jr., Paul, and Makeebia. While residing in California, Betty accepted her calling of becoming a missionary under the leadership of Elder and Missionary Campbell, of Menlo Park, Church of God in Christ. Upon her return to Kansas City, KS, Betty continued her walk with the Lord and became a faithful and active member of Rejoicing Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Garfield Tyler Jr. She later became a member of Faith Deliverance Family Worship Center, under the leadership of Elder Harold Johnson Sr. Betty remained faithful in her walk with God until she received her wings. Betty affectionately known as “Baby Sister”, had a love for fashion. Whenever you saw her she always had on a nice pair of heels. Betty’s love for fashion lead her to establish her own dress shop in 1984, named Rainbow Fashion.
