Obituary for Betty J. Slover Betty J. Slover, age 72, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at home with her loving husband of 40 years by her side. She loved life by helping others as a Certified Nursing Aide for 35 years until her health started to fail her. She loved to be with her husband doing things together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thatcher and Hazel Hurst. She is survived by husband, John, and many friends that were just like family. Family wishes to express special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the loving care that they gave Betty during her sickness. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Garland Long, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
