Bernice I Logan Hatch 2019

Bernice Irene (Logan) Hatch, 96, of Champion, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Windsor House in Champion. She was born June 30, 1922, in Gustavus, OH, the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Sara (Clauss) Logan. On August 8, 1942, Bernice married Earl Hatch. They shared 58 years of marriage and many wonderful memories until his passing, June 5, 2001. She was a 1940 graduate Gustavus High School. She was a cook for Champion Schools for four years before working at Packard Electric for 18 years. Bernice was a member of Champion Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing. She was a Cleveland Indians fan and liked to play bingo. Bernice’s memory will be carried on by her two sons, Raymond E. (JoAnn) Hatch, of Byrdstown, TN, and Gary Hatch, of Champion; four grandchildren, Sara (Charles) Elmore, Paul (Charity) Hatch, Crystal Hatch and Tiffany (Jason) Mulloy; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter, Della Hatch; daughter-in-law, Margaret “Margo” Hatch; and sister, Inabelle Heakin. Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 4, 2019, at the Champion Christian Church, where Pastor Ken Hopkins will officiate. Friends may call from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and again on Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at the church. Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery, Champion, OH. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
