Bernice Marian Collins June 08, 1931 – December 30, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Bernice Marian O’Brien Collins passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL. She was 87. Bernice moved to Cedar Key in 1945 and married in 1946. Coming from a commercial fishing family she worked side by side with her husband until he retired, then they would oyster and fish together until he passed, she enjoyed bingo and scratch off Lotto tickets, but her top priority was always her family. Bernice is predeceased by her husband of 45 years Leo Collins, she is survived by her son Ray Leon (Vangie) Collins, grandsons Casey (Ginger) and Clayton (Betsy), granddaughter Tabitha (Mark), great-grandchildren Noah, Gregory, Tanner, Thompson and June Elizabeth “June Bug” and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Cedar Key Cemetery in Cedar Key, FL with Rev. Susie Horner officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 PM on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland, FL. Arrangement are under the direction of the Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland, FL.
