Bernard’s Obituary Snead – Bernard Snead, passed away early Saturday morning December 1, 2018. He was born September 15, 1951 to the late Mr. Wilbert Snead, Sr. and Annie Ruth Snead. Bernard was employed by UF Health Jacksonville for over thirty years until his retirement. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Emanuel Baptist Church and was currently a member of New Bethel A. M. E. Church. Bernard was known as a man with a gift as he was endowed with extraordinary artistic abilities. His works of art will endure and be appreciated by many. He leaves a legacy to be cherished by his loving and devoted wife Margaret Snead, children: Bernard Snead, Jr. (Quisha), and Bresha Snead; Step children Jenaris Chance, and Jessie Chance; grandchildren: Matthew Snead, Kirah Snead, Vannah Paicely, Victoria Paicely, Harmonie Chance, and Melodee Heatly; siblings: Wilbert Snead, Jr., Emory L. Snead, Sr. (Joyce), Morris Snead, Leonard Snead (Edith), Sandra Bennett, and Ophelia Douglas ( Maurice); sister in laws: Mary Simpson (Theodore), and Emily Williams; devoted cousins: Frances Campbell, and Fannie Dixon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Snead may be viewed Friday, December 7, 2018, at Carthage Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018, at New Bethel A. M. E. Church, 9864 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32226, Reverend Roger Burton, pastor and the interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery (South). Read More
