Portsmouth – Audrey J. Sheehan, 81, of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 24, 2019. She was born in Cambridge, MA on January 20, 1938 the daughter of the late John R. and Cristina (West) Joyce. Raised in Cambridge, MA she graduated from the former Cambridge High and Latin High School with the Class of 56. She went on to graduate from Leslie College Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Literature. Marrying her high school sweetheart and future husband of 52 years, the late Warren J. Sheehan Jr., they lived in Wakefield, MA where they raised their 3 children prior to moving to the New Hampshire Seacoast in 1988. She worked at the Seabrook Station Nuclear Power Plant and the Portsmouth library. Audrey was a kind and generous soul, who loved to dance, watch birds, eat pizza and always loved her sweets! Everyone who met her loved her. Surviving family members include her children, Holly Sheehan, Warren J. Sheehan III and his wife Jane, Cristina Sheehan and grandchildren, Brittany, Maximum and Gabriel. At Audrey’s request all services will be private. She will be laid to rest with her husband beside her parents in Cambridge MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
