Anna J. “Nancy” Grainda November 12, 1929 – January 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Anna J. “Nancy” Grainda, 89, of Northampton, formerly from Bound Brook, NJ, McMichael’s, PA, Hillsborough and Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Sacred Heart Senior Living. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Grainda, who passed March 23, 1985. Born November 12, 1929 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Kelaher) Lilly. Anna graduated from SS. Philip & James H.S., Phillipsburg, NJ in 1947. She worked at Ingersoll Rand for a time after high school. Anna enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, crocheting and playing bridge. She was very active in the PTA and was a Girl Scout leader for several years. As her children got older, Anna worked at Somerset Savings & Loan in Bound Brook, NJ. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors: sister, Marie Hub of Bethlehem Township; daughters, Jean (Charles) Kline of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Joan (John) West of Lower Nazareth and Janet (James) Olson of Blairstown, NJ; 7 granddaughters and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to Anna’s husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Rader and brother, Robert Lilly. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 11th at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 117 Washington St., Bath. Family and friends may call Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial will be private. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton, PA or Family Pillars Hospice c/o funeral home in loving memory of Anna.
