Obituary for Angela Kaye Phillips Angela Kaye Phillips, 54, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home in Carthage. Angela was born December 19, 1964 in Waukegan, IL to James Anthony and Helen “Acree” Petersen. She served in the United States Army and moved to Carthage from Anniston, AL. Angela lived in Carthage for the past 20 years and was a homemaker. Angela was united in marriage to Jim Phillips on September 16, 2011 in Eureka Springs, AR; he survives. Angela is also survived by two sons, William Matthews of Monahans, TX and Andrew Lintz (Trina) of New Bern, NC; one daughter, Angeline Matthews of Carthage; two step-sons, Micheal Phillips (Megan) of Joplin and Tyler Phillips of Jasper; one brother, Charles Petersen (Donna) of Leesburg, FL; one sister, Patricia Evans of Carthage; two nieces, Kourtney Peterson of Leesburg, FL and Emily Petersen of Oviedo, FL. Angela was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Petersen, who passed in 2009. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2019 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
