Obituary for Alma R. Kimbrel (Denton) On Sunday December 30, 2018, Alma R.. Kimbrel, loving mother of 3 children, passed away at the age of 88. Alma was born on February 4, 1930 in La Junta Colorado, to Sherman and Cleo Denton. On October 4, 1948 she marred John Norman Kimbrel and together they raised 2 sons, Jerry (Terry) Kimbrel, Ronald (Theresa) Kimbrel and daughter Cindy (Jim Cowing. They owned and operated the Kimbrel Centennial Ranch for nearly 60 years and Alma remained there running operations for 11 more years following John’s death. Alma had a passion for ranching and being with her family. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always interested in their schooling a sporting activities. She was best known for her kind ways, determined yet compassionate spirit, her infectious smile and unmistakable voice. Preceded in death by her father Sherman, her mother Cleo and her husband John, is survived by her children, Jerry, Ronald and Cindy and her sister Romona Holt, i grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
