Obituary of William Dolan Dolan, William E. age 86 of Paterson, NJ and Jupiter, Fl. At rest in Florida on December 23, 2018. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong resident of Paterson before retiring to Jupiter, Florida in 1998, as well as still living in Paterson. Mr. Dolan was retired as Police Captain of Detectives for the Paterson Police Department in 1987. He then became the Director of Public Safety for the City of Paterson. William was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving in Korea and was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa. He was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson and was a member of Paterson PBA #1. Beloved husband of 65 years to the former Eleanor (nee: Victorinho) Dolan. Loving father of William J. Dolan & his wife Bernadette of Sudbury, Mass., Donald C. Dolan & his wife Donna of Paterson and the late Patrick Dolan (1988). Dear brother of James Dolan & his wife Pamela of Toms River and Mary Ellen Tracy of Joshua Tree, CA. Caring grandfather of Christopher Dolan & his wife, Sharon, Michael Dolan & his wife, Nora, William Dolan and Donald Dolan & his wife Tiffany. Great Grandfather of James, Tristan, Evelyn and Charlotte. Brother of the late Grace D’Arienzo and the late John Dolan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 7:45 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. Bonaventure RC Church, Paterson at 9:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 4:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
