CHASE- William Edward Sr., 79, Johnstown. Passed away December 27, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 11, 1939 in Johnstown. Son of Frank Edgar Sr. and Nora May (Retallack) Chase. Preceded in death by parents, wife Elva (Bennett), grandsons Michael and Gregory Chase, sisters Dora Siska, Esther Maser, Mary Toemashanka, Ruth Killinger, Patsy Chase and Judy Frollo. Survived by children Amy married to David Doles of Johnstown, William Jr. married to Nanette of Greensburg and Randy married to Terry of AZ; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and siblings Frank Jr. married to Wendy of Johnstown, and Nancy Miller married to John of Johnstown. Life member of the Salvation Army, Johnstown. Where he served many families as Corps Sergeant Major and Shelter Director. Also, he enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Marine Corp Veteran, PFC. Retired from Glosser Bros./Gee Bee Department Stores. There will not be a visitation. However, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at the Salvation Army Church, 576 Vine St. A Salvation Army Officer will be officiating.
