OBITUARY William “Dick” Richard Rhyne September 16, 1934 – December 22, 2018 Hickory-William Richard “Dick” Rhyne, 84, of Hickory, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Brian Center Hickory East. Born September 16, 1934, in Burke County, he was the son of the late William Bennett and Velsie Craig Rhyne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Denise Rhyne. Mr. Rhyne was a very active member of Tri City Baptist Church, along with being a member of Faith Sunday School Class. A career of 50 years in furniture industries, he retired as Plant Manager at Impact Furniture. An avid golfer, Dick was a member of Catawba Country Club, Silver Creek Country Club and Mountain Glen Golf Club. He is survived by his wife June Cuthbertson Rhyne of the home; daughters Patti Harris and husband Steve of Asheville, Karen Johnson of Hickory and Gayle Robinson and husband Tracy of Hickory; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 10:45 am to 11:45 am at Tri City Baptist Church. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Tri City Baptist Church with Reverend Stoney Benfield and Reverend Mark Ikerd officiating.
