Obituary for William Billy Joe Whalen William (Billy Joe) Whalen age 45 is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Billy Joe passed away December 19, 2018 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He was born May 23, 1973 in Bakersfield, California to David and Betty McMillin Whalen. Billy Joe was a graduate of Oliver Springs High School class of 1991 and was of the Baptist faith. Billy Joe was an avid fisherman and loved cooking, golf, football and basketball, and especially the L.A. Rams, he always loved and protected his family and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father; David W. Whalen, grandparents; Casie and Grace McMillin and Alfred and Ruby Whalen. Billy Joe is survived by his mother; Betty Whalen, Sister; Patricia Brown and husband Kenneth, brother; Alex Whalen children; Cassidy, William Whalen and Zachery Heth. Visitation with the family will be from 11am-1pm Saturday December 22, 2018 at Martin oak Ridge Funeral Home with a memorial service at 1pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. The family requests as an expression of love to Billy Joe to wear orange and white of your favorite sports team to the visitation and memorial service.
