Obituary for William “Bill” Ronald Barner Funeral Services for William “Bill” Ronald Barner, age 86 of Hideaway, TX, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale, TX with Pastor Michael Peschke officiating. Interment will follow at the Overton City Cemetery in Overton, TX under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Bill passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at his home in Hideaway. He was born April 4, 1932 in Kilgore, TX to the late Cooper and Lucille (Teer) Barner. He served in the United States Air Force and worked throughout his life as a Program Analyst for Kaiser Aluminum and later retiring from Copolymer Rubber Company in 1995. Bill has lived in Hideaway, TX for the last 20 years where he was a member of the Karaoke and Bridge Club and enjoyed an occasional game of 42. With a sincere passion for music, he and his wife traveled the entire country for 45 years square dancing. Bill was also a square dance Caller. He is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Barner and a sister, Linda Barner Dycus. Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jimmie Doris Blansitt Barner of Hideaway, TX; daughters, Carol Barner of Tyler, TX and Cynthia Barner Lee and husband, Gary of Addis, LA; brother, Stanley Barner of Etowah, TN; brother-in-laws, Don Blansitt and wife, Debbie of Schulenburg, TX and David Dycus of Corsicana, TX; granddaughter, Jennifer Kaye Lee of Addis, LA; step-grandson, Timothy Ray Lee and wife, Kimberly of Addis, LA; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jordan Lee; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service Tuesday and wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Traditions Homecare in Tyler, TX.
