Obituary for Willard Percy Ring GORHAM- Willard Percy Ring, 88, of Gorham passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born April 1, 1930 in Perkasie, PA, to Linwood and Jessie (Harkin) Ring. The family relocated to Maine when Willard was just a toddler. He grew up in Maine until traveling to Massachusetts to join the U.S. Army. He proudly served as a Sergeant during the Korea War and was stationed in Germany where it met his first wife, Hilda. After he was honorable discharged from the military, he and Hilda moved back to Germany for a couple of years working for the Stars and Stripes. They moved to California and raised four children together, John Ring, Robin (Ring) Graff, Dale Ring, and Darleen (Ring) Hernandez. The two shared 47 years together before Hilda’s passing in 2002. In 2003, Willard, fondly called “Bill” by most, moved to the New England area where he met his second wife, Eileen (Milot) Ring in 2005. They enjoyed traveling and adventures together and brought each other great joy. When Bill began to suffer from Kidney failure, they settled back down in Gorham. Bill was a strong willed person undergoing over a decade of regular dialysis treatments. He will be missed greatly by those close to him. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Patricia Cantlin and the wonderful nurses that helped care for him throughout the years. Willard is survived by his loving wife, Eileen(Milot) Ring, along with his children, two brothers Lindwood and Charles, and one sister Janette Charbaneau There will be a Celebration of life for Willard announced in the Spring.
