Obituary of Wayne Dusseau Wayne Arthur Dusseau was born on October 14, 1949 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of twelve children born from the union of his parents: the late Eldred Dusseau Sr. and the late Ursula (Kolinski) Dusseau. Wayne enlisted in the United States Marine Corps October 5, 1967 and proudly served his county until he was honorably discharged September 26, 1969. Wayne stayed true to his Michigan roots, but briefly moved to Colorado with his family before coming back home. Wayne loved being outdoors and spent countless hours fishing, hunting and trapping throughout the United States. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends playing cards: especially poker. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed watching the games whenever he could. When his health declined, he enjoyed bird watching in the comfort of his home. Above anything, Wayne was a family man. He cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren. He had a sarcastic sense of humor and loved making those around him laugh. He will forever be known as the best story teller and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Wayne Arthur Dusseau Sr., age 69, of LaSalle, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in LaSalle, under the care of Promedica Hospice. His passing is preceded by his brothers: Eldred (the late Jolene) Dusseau Jr. and Roger “Butch” Dusseau; his sister: Cynthia Smithers-Parriet and his parents. To cherish his memory, he leaves his children: Wayne Dusseau Jr., Letisha Dusseau, Timothy (Crystal) Dusseau and Eric (Farrah) Dusseau; his siblings: Gerald Dusseau, Carolyn (the late Larry) Kallenberg, Diana (Robert) Pritcherd, Veronia “Ronnie” (Walter) Carlson, Paulette Humphry, Kathleen (Donald) Marchese, Deborah (Billy) James and Patrick Dusseau; his sister in law: Diane Dusseau; his grandchildren: Tristan, Trenton, Gabrielle, Camille, Jeanette, Kyle, Kaylee and Holden and many extended family members and friends. Friends and family may gather on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 1:00pm also at Merkle’s to be officiated by Reverend Michael Gilbert. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.
