Schoharie – Thomas A. Nagel, 67, of Ward Lane, passed away peacefully at the VA Medical Center in Albany on December 8, 2018. Born in Milwaukee, WI on April 8, 1951, he was the son of the late William Nagel and Agnes (Clinton) Nagel, who survives him. He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 19 and served his country proudly for 22 years, becoming a Staff Sargeant before being honorably discharged in 1992. Thomas leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Ellen (Beagen) Nagel. His son, Thomas J. (Amy) Nagel, 3 grandchildren, his mother, Agnes Nagel of Arkdale, WI, and his brother John Nagel of Arkdale, WI also survive him. A graveside service will commence at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY, 12871 with military honors on Friday December 14, at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions be may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project at 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
