Tae Yung Ted Lee 2018

OBITUARY Tae Yung “Ted” Lee February 13, 1942 – December 12, 2018 Tae-Yung (Theodore “Ted”) Lee passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 12pm. He was 76 years old. He is survived by his wife, 3 children, and 12 grandchildren In Korea, his surviving family includes 2 sisters, a sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. While on this Earth, he lived and was a citizen of 3 countries. He was born in Korea where he grew up, married, and started his family. In 1974, he embarked on a brave opportunity, he took his young family and emigrated to Canada. Through hard work and faith in God’s goodness, he established a new life, citizenship, and career for his family. Then, in 1990, he moved again and set up his business from Canada to Greenville, SC and eventually gained his US citizenship. Mr. Lee was an entrepreneur at heart. He had big dreams and saw many of them fulfilled throughout his life. But the biggest motivator that permeated everything he did was his deep faith in God and great joy in spreading His Word. In every country and city in which he lived, he was instrumental in starting, encouraging, and establishing Korean churches where God’s Word was honored and the preaching of His truth was pure. Although he battled a couple of major surgeries (in 2000, a kidney removed due to cancer, and, in 2001, a quintuple bypass surgery), he was always active and had ongoing projects that involved Bible translations. One of his last projects was a book which he entitled “Heavenly Habitats”, an example of a mind and heart that sought to know God and to understand His mysteries. A man with many passions, his children and grandchildren reflect those same devotions in art, music, business, and adventure. Unafraid of challenges, armed with resourcefulness and a hard work ethic, and with his dedication to all the opportunities God gave him, he, in turn, has freely and generously provided exciting and new opportunities for growth and potential to his family and so many others. All friends and family members are invited to join us in honoring Mr. Lee at his funeral service to be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 2pm, at Faith Free Presbyterian, 1207 Haywood Rd, Greenville, SC 29615. Psalm 23 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” Send Flowers Show Your Support Share Obituary share to facebook share by email share link Receive Notifications
