Falkville Funeral service for Shirley B. Johnson, 73, will be Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Glenn Sparkman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson died on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born Wednesday, January 10, 1945, in Morgan County to Anderson Bryant Sparkman and Mary Elizabeth Hartselle. She was a hostess for Applebee’s Restaurant. Preceded her in death were her husbands: James D. Peppers and Thomas D. Johnson, a brother: Jerry Sparkman, and a granddaughter: Amberley Peppers. Survivors include: Two Sons: Phillip Peppers (Sylvia), Loxley, AL and Jerry Peppers (Girlfriend – Brandy Wick), Columbia, TN Two Daughters: Tammy Speegle (Keith), Hartselle, AL and Kristi Melson (Boyfriend – Adam Walls), Eva, AL Two Brothers: Freddie Sparkman (Ruby), Hartselle, AL and Glenn Sparkman (Carolyn), Hartselle, AL Two Sisters: Debbie Steele (Phillip), Hartselle, AL and June Sparkman (Gary Carter), Hartselle, AL Eight Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Brandon Speegle, Patrick Cheatham, Brandon Sparkman, Shane Steele, Andy Sparkman and Oakley Graham.
