Obituary for Shirley A. Battista (Arnett) SHIRLEY A. BATTISTA WATERVILLE: Shirley A. Battista, 84, formerly of Utica and Waterville, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. She was born on August 30, 1934 in Bradford, PA. She was a graduate of Bradford High School and the Rochester Business School. Shirley had worked for Mohawk Valley Oil Co. in Utica until retiring in 2001. She was of the Catholic faith. Surviving are her children, James Battista; Cheryl and Nick LoConte of Waterville; Michael Battista; a sister, Patricia Vecellio of PA; and a cherished granddaughter, Micaela LoConte. A graveside service will be held in Waterville Cemetery in the spring at the convenience of the family.
