Sarah E. Henson was born August 27, 1941 in Washington (Rayle) Georgia to Jasper Lee Dozer and Sarah Lee Sims- Paschal. Sarah E. Henson, a resident of Marion, Ohio moved back home from Terre Haute Indiana in 1989. She departed from this life on Monday December 10, 2018 at the age of 77. She is preceded in death by her parents and step father William (Bill) Paschal, one sister Daisy M. Sheffield of Indiana, and one brother Freddie Scott of Georgia. She retired from Marion Correction Institution in 2003. She loved fishing, gardening, and having flowers in every spot around her house. She made sure that all her children knew all their cousins and distant cousins, she believed in strong family values. She leaves to mourn; Two daughters, Lavern Henson, Anita (Molly) Henson from Marion, Ohio; Two sons, John Henson from Steilacoom, WA, David Henson from Houston, TX; Three grandsons, Cesjar, John II, Morgan Henson; nine great grandchildren; two nieces, Tatia (David) Evans of Long Beach, CA, Tina Thomas of Columbus, OH; two nephews Shawn (Tawanya) Sheffield of Terre Haute, IN, Kevin Henson of South Carolina, a sister Ida Mae Murphy from Rayle, GA; brother Allen Sellers from Chicago, IL. Special friends; Dorothy Wiley, Linda Reece, Geraldine Sims, Nannie Johnson and a host of cousins that she loved. Visitation will be held Thursday December 13, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 475 E Fairground St. Marion, OH 43302. The funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 11 A.M. with Bishop Draper officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
