Obituary of Ruth Peterson Ruth N. Peterson, age 95 of Jamestown NY, passed away Thursday December 6, 2018 at the Lutheran Retirement Home. She was born on August 22, 1923 in Meadville, PA the daughter of Elra and Georgia Jeannerett. Ruth graduated from Lakewood High School in 1941. Until her illness she enjoyed walking, bowling and was an avid NY Yankees fan. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters organization. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Samuel W. Peterson, her sister, Audrey Paul, and two brothers, Walter and Richard Jeannerett. She is survived by her children Patricia (Thomas) Hilbert of Sparks, NV, Michael (Sandi) Peterson of Maryland Heights, MO and William (Debra) Peterson of Jamestown NY., grandchildren: Scott (Natalie) Hilbert, Mark Hilbert, Tara (Brian) Eads, Kim Peterson, Lindsay (Scottie) Lee and Aaron Peterson. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; Damen and Corey Harrison, Samuel, Noah and Liam Eads, Peter and Lucy Lee, and Alexander Peterson. The family will receive friends from 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Saturday December 15, 2018 at the Lind Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church at 11:00AM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers you may wish to contribute to The Catholic Daughters Court St. Gertrude #92, c/o Holy Apostles Parish, 508 Cherry Street, Jamestown NY or to a charity of your choice.
