Obituary for Ruby Bise-Neece CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Ruby Bise-Neece, 100, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Russell County Medical Center, Lebanon, Virginia. She was born to Sarah and LaFaytte Silcox. She was a lifelong resident of the Hamlin and Gravel Lick areas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Bise and James Neece; son, Everett Bise; sister, Anna Mae Glovier; and brothers, Willie Silcox and Joe Silcox. Ruby was a homemaker and loved to quilt and grow flowers. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include Joyce Powers and husband, Vernon of Castlewood, Virginia, T. J. “Pooch” Bise and wife, Nora Lee of Castlewood, Virginia, Sherman Bise and wife Shirley of Castlewood, Virginia, Danny Joe Bise and wife, Christine of Richmond, Virginia, and Ronnie Neece and wife, Suzanne of Lebanon, Virginia; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Maple Grove and to Dr. Ulrich and the fourth floor nurses at Russell County Medical Center and espcially to care givers Mary Dale Moore, Shawna Musick, and Iva Salyers for all the love and concern shown to our mother Funeral Services for Ruby Bise-Neece will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Leonard Ferguson and Rev. Jim Pratt officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Pallbearers will be David “Butch” Bise, Sammy “Bo” Bise, Brandon Bise, Luke Bise, Cameron Parsons, and Jonathan Neece. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Glovier, Dave Powers, and Wayne Dingus. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
