He was born August 18, 1956 to Walter Joe Pearl and Gladys Ruth (Brown) Pearl in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Roger grew up in Oklahoma City and was a 1975 graduate of Crooked Oak High School. He has been a resident of Shawnee for the past 35 years. He worked as general labor in various jobs. Roger enjoyed music and building models. He loved people and never met a stranger, always visiting with everyone he met. Roger was kind hearted and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved his family and extended family and was truly one of a kind. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Shirley Murphy. Survivors include his brother, Melvin Pearl of Shawnee; 2 sisters, Donna Atwood and Tina Ned, both of Shawnee; nieces, Crystal Atwood, Dalana Atwood, Cynthia Olguin, Stephanie Cooksey, Leslie Spence and Melody Hanson; nephews, Joseph Atwood and Stephen Atwood; several great-nieces, great-nephews and other extended family and friends; including his extended family and friends, the employees and residents at the Royal Residence Center in Prague. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Absentee Shawnee Tribe Burial Grounds in Little Axe under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
