Obituary of Roberta Peterson Roberta L. Peterson, 73, of 861 Water Street, Frewsburg, formerly of Jamestown, died unexpectedly Friday December 28, 2018, in her home. She was born January 5, 1945, in Andover, OH, a daughter of the late Robert and Helen Cursey Christenson. Following graduation from high school she attended Jamestown Business College. She was employed by Wal-Mart as a cashier, had worked as a cook at Matia’s and Aldo’s and owned and operated Bert’s Restaurant. She loved her family and was very involved in Alcoholics Anonymous. She was extremely proud of her more than 30 years of sobriety. Surviving are four children Brenda Anthony of Fort Wayne, IN, Kristine (Terry) Edwards of Charlotte, TN, Susan Anthony of Jamestown and Keith Anthony of Frewsburg; three step sons John, Bob and James Peterson; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and a sister Vera (Jim) Kieborz of Trinity, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Peterson of 2015 and a granddaughter Brittany Mattison in 1990. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Town of Carroll Historical Society, 5 West Main Street, Frewsburg, NY 14738.
