Obituary of Robert Gutmann Robert P. Gutmann, 58, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born on August 3, 1960 in Beacon, NY, he was the son of the late Paul J. and the late Alice Edger Gutmann. Robert had attended some college in California and he also attended Culinary Arts School. He was a self-employed contractor. Robert enjoyed woodworking, working on vintage stereo equipment, fishing and golfing. Robert is survived by his companion Christine Nagy of Poughkeepsie, as well as his children, son Andrew R. Guttmann (Augusta) of Pleasant Valley, NY and his daughter Jacy Chandler of Santa Rosa, CA. Also surviving are his grandchildren Emma Raff, Ariella Gutmann and Isabella Gutmann, his brothers Paul Gutmann and Tim Edger, sisters Judy Gaston (Scott) and Barbara Gaston and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother John Gutmann and his sister Mary Boyea. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 1:00-5:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the Family.
