Robert A Loll December 27 2018

Robert A. Loll, age 80, passed away on December 27, 2018 at his home in Lake Wylie, South Carolina. He was the beloved husband to Kathleen, his wife of 57 years and the love of his life. He was a devoted father to his four children: Robert (Lisa), Patrick (Raquel), Colette, Brian (AngiLyn) and a revered grandfather (Papa) to his seven grandchildren: Ryan, Mitchell, Madeleine, Christopher, Matthew, Quinn, and Patrick. He is also survived by his brother Paul and predeceased by his sister Dorothy. Bob was born in Chicago to Dorothy and Clarence Loll and earned his degree from Loyola University. In 1967 Bob and Kathleen moved to Park Ridge, Illinois where they raised their family surrounded by dear friends and neighbors. They were parishioners of Mary Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church. Bob’s family was the source of his greatest joy and fulfillment, but he was also an accomplished business executive. After a 35-year career at Brach’s Candy in Chicago, he continued to lead various companies in the Carolinas and retired after building a successful family business with his children. Bob was happiest while sailing, playing golf, travelling with family or simply raising a glass in celebration. He was an active member of the River Hills Country Club, the Lions Club and his local men’s group. Bob will long be remembered as a man who lived his ideals. He was the anchor of his family and he was a humble man. The family will host a remembrance service at ML Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Lake Wylie, SC, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC, on Wednesday, January 2nd at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the River Hills Marina Conference Center immediately following the service.
