Richard T. Szymborski of Shamong, NJ died Thursday, November 29, 2018 at his residence. He was 74. Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet B. (nee Hunsberger); his daughter, Tracy Lynne Szymborski; his sisters, Molly Jordan and Betty Tobin, and his brother, Timothy Szymborski. He was predeceased by his parents, Jesse J. and Viola (Fronzak) Szymborski and his brother, Ronald Szymborski. Richard served in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for APA of Philadelphia for 32 1/2 years. He was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Knights of Columbus Council #6520. He volunteered in the food pantry at St. Vincent DePaul. A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 beginning at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford. Burial is in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Jones Rd., Medford, NJ 08055.
