Richard Frederick Thim December 14, 1938 – December 30, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Richard Frederick Thim, 80, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on December 30, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Towson, MD. Born on December 14, 1938, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Theresa Kunkel Thim. He was the loving husband of Carolyn Ann Marks Thim. Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Brian Thim and wife Cheryl, Kathleen Thim, Diane Monzeglio and husband Lewis, and Donna Lang and husband Steve, and three grandsons: Austin, Zachary, and Parker. After graduating Kenwood High School, Richard proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After honorable discharge, Richard worked as an analyst for the Social Security Administration for over 40 years. During retirement, Richard was an active Reserve Officer for the Natural Resources Police. The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 4, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a funeral service will begin at 7 pm. Interment will be at a later date in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion (www.legion.org) or The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (www.cbf.org).
