Mr. Ray Neal Chaffin, age 71 of Franklin, KY, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at 5:05 AM at The Medical Center in Franklin, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 AM December 28, 2018 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard. Ray was born November 27, 1947 in Warren Co. KY to the late Alvin Chaffin and the late Annie Jones Chaffin. A brother Dale Chaffin preceded him in death. He is survived his wife Betty Chaffin, 3 children Brian Chaffin of Commerce, GA, Leslie Harp (David) of Franklin, KY and Adam Chaffin (Trisha) of Woodburn, KY, 8 grandchildren Kate, Logan and Sam Chaffin, Austin, Owen and Sawyer Harp, Aiden and Adalyn Chaffin. Ray was a member of the Woodburn Baptist Church. He was retired from Luvata and former co-owner of the Hot Plate Restaurant in Franklin, KY. He was an Army Veteran. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 and from 6:00 AM until service time on Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
