Obituary for Patsy Gibson Buice Patsy Motts Gibson Buice, 71, of Pacolet, SC, died Monday, December 31, 2018, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born October 24, 1947, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Reggie Motts and Myrtle Weathers Motts and widow of Dennis Morgan Gibson and William Charles Buice. She was a member of Tate Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Patty Fernandez (Miguel) of Spartanburg, SC, Lisa Gibson Wyatt and Jeff Gibson (Jennifer) all of Pacolet, SC; six grandchildren, Morgan, Maci, Jamey Lee, Jacob, Nicole and Stephen, and sisters, Thelma Padgett of McDonough, GA and Carolyn Manis of Spartanburg, SC. She was predeceased by a grandson, Michael; six sisters, and four brothers. Visitation will be 2:00–2:45 PM Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Floyd’s Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372, with services following at 3:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier and the Rev. Paul Manis. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd., Spartanburg, SC.
