Obituary for Patricia A. Sarraino Albany-Patricia A. Nolan Sarraino, 87, entered into Eternal Life Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital with her family at her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY to the late Francis T. and Marguerite Dunn-Nolan. Pat moved to Albany at a young age where she attended Blessed Sacrament school and Vincentian Institute. For fifteen years Pat worked at C.L. Sommers & Co. as an office assistant. She then moved on to become sales and secretary with Diebold, Inc. Afterwards she was employed at Guilderland Town Hall, retiring as Deputy Town Clerk. Pat and her husband Joe were avid N.Y. Yankees and N.Y. Giants fans. This couple of “bookends’ enjoyed many social events, adventuring to Saratoga Racino where winning was her greatest thrill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Joseph Edward Sarraino; her brothers Leo Nolan (Lois), Thomas Nolan (Joan). She is survived by her children Michael Sarraino (Kerri) of Latham, Michele Sarraino ( Gary) of Guilderland, David Sarraino ( Chris) of South Glens Falls, and Donna Sarraino-Spoltore (Steve) of Colonie; Grandmother of Justin Gershon (Amy), Nicholas Spoltore ( Jessica), Leah Spoltore, Catherine Sarraino, and Shelby Sarraino; Great Grandmother of Michael Carlin and Addison Gershon; Also many nieces and nephews survive. Pat was loved by countless family, friends and her dearest K-9 companion Patch. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Pat’s family Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 4-7 pm in the McVeigh Funeral Home, Albany. Funeral Services Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 9:45 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany, for 10:30 am where her Funeral Mass will be offered. The Rite of Committal will be held in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery immediately following the Funeral Mass. Contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to the American Heart Association.
