Ozel Dixon, 90 of Beaver Dam, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Fordsville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born January 21, 1928 in Viper, Kentucky to the late Boyd and Ethel Cook Hall. She was a member of Echols Church of God and was a retired owner and operator of Hale’s Grocery in Eastern Kentucky. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Dixon and her siblings, Cleon, Buddy, Virginia, Margie Pearl, Betty Jane, Zona, Juanita, Maggie, Mallie and McCoy. Survivors include her brother, Jack (Dolly) Hall of Viper, Kentucky; two sisters, Hazel Birchwell of Beaver Dam and JoAnn (Enos) Caudill of Viper, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Alfred Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mrs. Dixon’s family from 10 A.M. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
