Obituary for Mayfree Edwards Waters Mayfree (Edwards) Waters, age 79, of Erwin, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Mitchell County, NC, Mayfree is a daughter of the late Jess and Pearl (Renfro) Edwards. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mayfree is preceded in death by her husband, James Waters; sisters: Amolee Golobe and Bertha Adams; and brothers: Ray Edwards, George Edwards, Gurney Edwards and Arvel Edwards. Mayfree (Edwards) Waters leaves behind to cherish her memory: Several nieces and nephews. Per Ms. Waters wishes, she will be cremated and inurned in the mausoleum at Evergreen Cemetery.
