Maxine Helen Logan, 98, passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018, at Lima Convalescent Home. Maxine was born on January 22, 1920, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Don & Ethel (Zeits) McGuire. On July 27, 1940, she married Samuel Eugene Logan, who preceded her in death on March 8, 2008. Mrs. Logan graduated from South High School in Lima, Ohio. She retired from Westinghouse where she worked as a winder. She was formerly a member of Perry United Methodist Church and was then a member of Cable Road Alliance Church. Maxine was a former member of Perry Grange. She had resided in Florida for 13 years before returning to Lima. She is survived by two sons: Ron (Carol) Logan of Dunkirk, OH, and Wilbur L. (Diane) Logan of Lima, a sister Doris (Willard) Gladfelter, four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and ten step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother Glen McGuire. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Pastor Richard Jueckstock officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
