Obituary of Mary Ryan The family of Mary T. Ryan is saddened to announce the passing of Mary on December 26, 2018. Mary was a loving grandmother, mother and friend. Mary was born on March 3, 1932 in Glen’s Falls, New York to Frank and Anna Smith. Mary’s fun and outgoing personality served her well in the food service area, both at her family’s North Creek restaurant and in her service to children in the Ballston Spa (NY) and Hernando County (FL) School Districts. Through the years Mary was a dedicated parishioner in the Catholic faith. She participated in many activities through the St. Johnsville Senior Center and local Red Hat groups. Mary is survived by her sons, Patrick and William and their families as well as two brothers and a sister. Mary was predeceased by her husband, James W. Ryan in 1998. A family funeral is being planned with internment in the North Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home.
