Obituary for Mary Ann Smith Mary Ann Smith was born September 27, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to Versey Mae Seals and Willie Seals, Sr. (both parents preceded her in death). The family later moved to Lima, Ohio, where she attended Lima Senior High School. Upon moving to Cleveland she worked as a Security Guard at MetroHealth Hospital. Mary was united in holy matrimony to Johnnie B. Smith, Sr. (deceased), and was blessed with four children. Mary was a Past Matron of Wisdom Chapter #51, a member of Cuyahoga Court #2 – Heroines of Jericho, Emanuel Guild #3 – Heroines of the Templar Crusade, and Adoniram Court #6 – L.O.C.O.P. She loved doing volunteer work for her church and helping out in the community. Mary leaves to mourn her passing her four children, Johnnie B. Smith, Jr., Emma S. Smith, Joseph B. Smith, and Marquisha I. Smith; fiancé, Herman Sutton; siblings, Dove Seals, Lillian Taylor, and Betty Anderson; grandchildren, Rodericka Gilcrease, Sha-Shawn Williams, Sabrina Odomsel, Brianna Smith, Joel Smith, Keon Findley, Christina Smith, Johnnie Smith (Lil Jr.), Jaquisha Drewery, Jaquise Drewery, Jachanae Drewery, and Le’Chyna Hester; great grandchildren, Ariyonna Bailey, Amiya Bailey, Harlem Smith, Damarion Jones, Nariah, and Dakota; one nephew, Willie Deals, Jr., and a host of relatives and friends.
