Obituary for Martin Joseph Beirne, Senior Martin Joseph Beirne, age 84, of Medina, passed away on December 9, 2018. He was born August 29, 1934 in St. Louis, MO to the late Martin and Helen (nee Burhorst) Beirne. Martin enjoyed golf, golf and more golf. He enjoyed a sunset cocktail at their vacation home in Marco Island FLA and the love of his children and grandchildren. He was a alumni and huge fan of Mizzou (Univ or Missouri) football. Martin was a proud veteran of the US Army serving multiple terms. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Genevieve (nee Corcoran); Daughters Kimberley Beirne, Dianne (Bob) Blazek. Son Martin Joseph (Elizabeth) Beirne Jr. and four grandsons Robert and Sean Blazek and Martin and Patrick Beirne. Interment will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. Procession will form at 1:30 at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. Celebration of his life to follow immediately after at Rustic Hill Country Club in Medina OH. The family suggests donations be made in Martin’s name to Shriners Hospital or Wounded Warrior project in leu of flowers.
