She was born in Portland on June 6, 1938 to the late Felix and Eva Perdue. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Kitchens, and sisters, Rebecca England and Evelyn Rippy. She is survived by her children, Karan McDowell, Sylvia Briley, and Darrell (Kathy) Dixon, all of Portland; grandchildren, Kara (Jim) Carden, Athena (Eric) Kittrell, Ronnie D. (Dana) McDowell, Tyler McDowell, Matt (Layiel) Briley, Darrell J. (Debbie) Dixon, and Jeremiah Dixon; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with burial in Old Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 and from 10 a.m. till funeral time at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Matt Briley, Darrell J.
